Born in Fair Oaks, California, Gabriela Andrea Knutson is a Czech professional tennis player with a unique international journey. The daughter of an American father and Czech mother, she moved to the Czech Republic at age 12 to pursue her dream of becoming a professional tennis player.

Gabriela's path has never been conventional. She excelled in college tennis at Syracuse University, earning All-American honors while studying Broadcast and Digital Journalism. She later completed postgraduate degrees at Durham University, proving that elite sport and academic excellence can go hand in hand.

After stepping away from tennis to pursue a career in sustainability and climate policy, Gabriela made the courageous decision to return to professional tennis in 2022. Since then, she has climbed the world rankings, competed on the WTA Tour, and continues her pursuit of the world's best.

Today, Gabriela is the featured athlete of The Rise Project, representing the determination, resilience, and belief that exceptional talent deserves every opportunity to succeed. Your support helps provide the coaching, travel, training, and recovery resources she needs to continue competing at the highest level.

Your donation will directly support Gabriela Knutson's pursuit of the WTA Top 100 by helping fund essential performance expenses, including coaching, tournament travel, recovery, and training support.

Every contribution helps remove financial barriers and allows exceptional talent to focus on what matters most: competing at the highest level.
